Jenny Yoo has been designing bridesmaid dresses since 2002, when she launched her eponymous line in New York City. After graduating from Parsons School of Design and working for several well known designers, Jenny noticed that there weren’t many high quality and fashion forward bridesmaid dress options available to brides. She began designing her own bridesmaid dresses, and eventually began designing bridal gowns and wedding dresses too. Today her designs are highly sought after, and she’s outfitted her fair share of high-profile bridal parties.
Jenny Yoo is known for her sleek and modern styles and gorgeous, muted color palette. From chiffon to tulle, there are dozens of styles to choose from, ensuring that even the most discerning bride can find something that suits her needs. Her bridal gowns and bridesmaid dresses are beloved by celebrities and it girls alike–she’s one of the most requested designers at Brideside!
We’ve spotted some of our favorite celebs in Jenny Yoo. Here’s a look at the a-listers who have worn Jenny Yoo bridesmaid dresses.
She may be known for her songs about heartbreak and past relationships, but she’s celebrated her fair share of weddings! In 2017, Taylor Swift was the maid of honor in her best friend Abigail’s wedding. The fall wedding was absolutely stunning, and Taylor shined in Jenny Yoo’s Mira dress in a muted burgundy color called Hibiscus. Mira is one of Brideside’s most popular Jenny Yoo dresses; our customers love that the chiffon gown is convertible and customizable. Mira’s neckline can be off-the-shoulder, halter, or strapless – the chiffon panel and a removable sash makes it easy for each bridesmaid to style this dress her own way. Taylor chose to wear her gown as a halter, but she would have looked just as good wearing it off-the-shoulder or with sheer sleeves. We love the way she made this dress her own! With the entire bridal party in Hibiscus, shown below, there couldn’t have been a more perfect palette chosen for a beautiful fall day.
Taylor isn’t the only celeb who’s worn a convertible Jenny Yoo bridesmaid dress. Eva Longoria’s wore another Jenny Yoo convertible dress, the Annabelle, at a friend’s destination wedding. The wedding was in Cordoba, Spain, and Ciel Blue bridesmaid dresses added to the romantic vibe of the event. While some brides choose to have their bridesmaids wear various styles, this bridal party went with a uniform look. The pale, seafoam-inspired color, combined with flowy, romantic tulle fabric, looked totally ethereal. Neutral bouquets and added to the soft and muted look.
Annabelle and Mira’s silhouettes are very similar. It’s their fabrics that set them apart. Mira is a convertible in chiffon (the most popular bridesmaid dress fabric out there) and Annabelle is made of tulle. You can’t go wrong with either gown, but tulle gives the Annabelle a lighter and airier vibe than the Mira. Eva accessorized her Annabelle with an embellished belt, which added weight and definition to the look.
