We’re ringing in the new year with a look at our predictions for the top wedding trends of 2017! We’ll show you our favorite wedding details and then show you how to get the same look with your bridesmaid dresses.

Mix and Match Colors:

Mix and match bridesmaid dresses has become the new norm. There’s nothing wrong with different styles in the same color but it’s now “playing it safe” when it comes to all the options out there.  We love the new trend of picking multiple colors. The key here is going with either one color family (like different shades of blue) or staying with the same intensity of colors (like all pastels or jewel tones). Check out this gorgeous bouquet and how these soft hues look just as good when each bridesmaid is wearing the Jenny Yoo Annabelle dress in a different color and convertible style!

White Weddings:

We love an all white palette. It feels so crisp and fresh and can work in just about any setting. Go super modern with white and metallic accents or highlight those rustic wood accents with the contrast of stark white decor and natural greenery. When it comes to bridesmaid dresses, this wedding trend was actually the traditional color for bridesmaids. Based on superstition around spirits who would come for the bride, bridesmaids would also wear white to confuse them. Nowadays it’s just looks really classic compared to the ever changing color trends. Not sure you’re ready to commit to all white? Try an off-white or light champagne bridesmaid dress like the Joanna August ones shown below. Shop the looks here.

Sleek and Modern:

Rustic chic and flowy bohemian looks have ruled the wedding world for the past few years. We’re predicting that 2017 weddings are going to pull back on the volume in favor of clean lines and sleek silhouettes. Get ready for acrylic decor that is both modern and minimal and dresses that have slim cut skirts and simple strappy tops that elongate. Pair this trend with an all-white color palette and you’re guaranteed to be a Pinterest success story!

Glitz and Glam:

Metallics aren’t just for holiday weddings anymore. This is a trend from 2016 that isn’t going anywhere! We love the variety of ways you can bring a little sparkle to your big day. From rose gold foil invites and place cards to gold flatware and chargers on the table to all sequin dresses, your options are endless. Are only suggestion? Pick one or two details to really make the metallic details stand out. After all, you want some of the attention to be on you too, right?

Favorite Bridesmaid Dresses for 2017:

We’ll leave you with 3 of our favorite bridesmaid dress styles for the coming year. We love the delicate bows shown on this open back dress by Watters and the spaghetti straps from Joanna August. Boho sleeves with a sleek silhouette is a perfect balance for 2017. Plus, Jenny Yoo never disappoints. Love this new twist on floral dresses.
